Sweat Equity Opportunities

Add to the Magic

We’re committed to keeping budgets flexible for our special campouts and events. Beyond the bottom line, we invite event organizers and wedding parties to contribute to the development of this space, either through in-kind donations of items needed around the campground or by donating time on site with groups of volunteers—what we call Sweat Equity.

Each year, our volunteer season runs from March to May, with groups camping out or staying in cabins. Rain or shine, we have projects to tackle! From spring cleaning and painting to planting garden starts, brush clearing, and more, there’s something for everyone. Some projects are managed with on-site supervision, while others can be led by you and your friends if you have a specific idea and budget in mind.

Sweat Equity projects can earn you up to $2,000 off your total event site fee.

Typically, groups of 10 volunteers coordinate their campout weekend dates, meals, and project specifics in advance with the Mendocino Magic management team. Over two days, volunteer groups contribute about 10 hours of volunteer time. Plus, these weekends offer time to enjoy the space and start planning your upcoming event with us.

Interested in working on a project with us? Have a great idea you’d love to bring to life? Or just want a fun, active weekend this spring? Ask us how you can get involved by emailing contact@mendocinomagic.com.
